Setting up SMS on your computer depends entirely on whether you are pairing an iPhone or an Android phone with your Windows PC or Mac. iPhone to Mac (Native Apple Ecosystem)
This setup allows you to send standard SMS (green bubbles) and iMessages (blue bubbles) seamlessly.
Sign in: Ensure both your iPhone and Mac are signed into the exact same Apple ID.
Enable iMessage: On your iPhone, navigate to Settings > Apps > Messages and turn on iMessage.
Verify Number: Tap Send & Receive on your iPhone to verify that your phone number and Apple ID email are checked.
Forward Texts: Go back to the main Messages settings menu, tap Text Message Forwarding, and toggle On your Mac from the list.
